Future Champions Program

The ATOS Raleigh Future Champions Program was created to provide children ages 5-15 with an environment that allows them to experience and understand core values like focus, discipline, persistence, cooperation and respect. As a contact sport, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu provides a very challenging yet safe and caring environment for a child to mature towards a real life champion. The outcome of continued childhood practice of ATOS BJJ goes far beyond the accomplishments on the mats. The discipline and excellence demanded by our instructors often carries over to the child’s behavior at home and at school.

Reasons To Put Your Children In Kids Jiu-Jitsu

The martial art of jiu-jitsu will teach your child many valuable life skills and lessons about hard work, discipline, listening skills, being humble, perseverance, and the power of consistency. These skills extend far beyond the mats, helping children navigate the complexities of life with resilience.

Jiu-Jitsu is fun! It also offers the opportunity for your child to make new friends, whose parents have similar desires to raise their children to their best potential.

Even the smallest bodies can have big energy. Put your children in an activity that will tire them out and give them a wonderful night’s rest, so you can rest too.

Putting your child in professional self-defense training from a young age will greatly benefit their progress for life. Don’t miss out on the most important years of brain plasticity & trainability.

Jiu-jitsu will give your child self-confidence and a profound sense of accomplishment as their abilities improve each day. Whether it’s watching themselves climb in the ranks on their belts or feeling the weight of a gold medal around their necks from winning at a competition, not only will you be proud of them. They will be proud of themselves, and no one can take that away.

Obesity rates in children have nearly tripled in America since the 1960s. Meanwhile, the rate of physical play has decreased by nearly half since the same time period. Putting your child in jiu-jitsu proactively cuts against the trends with a physical sport that challenges their bodies to grow agile, flexibile, and strong. In addition to bodily health, jiu-jitsu could one day genuinely save their life (or a loved one) in a dangerous situation.
